How to Create and Use Pack Templates in PackLite
Create reusable pack templates for different trip types and seasons.
What You Will Do
This guide shows you how to create pack templates for different trip types. Templates save you time by providing pre-configured gear lists for common scenarios like weekend hikes, 3-season trips, or winter expeditions. You can reuse templates for every similar trip.
Before You Start
- You are logged in to PackLite.
- You have gear items in your inventory.
Step 1 - Open Packs
Navigate to Packs to view and create templates.
Tip: Your pack templates are displayed here. Click New Pack to create one.
After Completion
- Your pack template is saved and ready to use.
- You can create multiple templates for different trip types.
- Use templates to start new trips with pre-selected gear.
- You can clone existing packs to create variations.
Troubleshooting
- Unclear template names: Pack names should be descriptive (e.g., "Weekend Hiking", "Winter Backpacking").
- Need to edit templates: You can edit templates anytime to add or remove items.
- Deleted template affects trips: Deleting a template does not affect trips created from it.
